A difficult anniversary

Tomorrow, August 14th, 2006 will be the 18th anniversary of my sister's passing. "Where have the years gone" is a cliche that's so well-worn and yet it's so true.

As I say in my talks at Breast Cancer Campaign fund-raising events, one shouldn't mention loss. Perhaps gratitude for the years that a loved one was around would be more appropriate.

Tomorrow, I'll start the training, in earnest, for next years' trek.
