Kent later today

This'll be the first of the "major" hikes I'll be doing in the run up to my Maasai Mara Trek in February. It'll be interesting to see what reaction I get on Tuesday morning.

My mind sometimes goes back to those weeks and months of preparation before my one and only London Marathon in 1991. On the day after a half-marathon(I did four from memory) I could hardly walk! Still not bad for someone who was a bit of a lounge lizard in those days.

Has anything changed?

Jeremy, Are those lounge lizard days behind you now? I used to be the same, but times change, life progresses, though it was fun while it lasted.

Good luck with your training, you must have been exceptionally fit if you managed the London Marathon.
